WELCOME!
Thank you for visiting A-Ware Series Books.com, The ONLY Official Home of the books in the A-Ware series. If it’s NOT this .com domain, then it’s NOT “official”.
Welcome also to this totally blind author’s website! I use the term “totally blind” to mean I have no usable eyesight or light perception, as some “blind” persons DO … and even a little usable eyesight AND/OR light perception DO go a LONG way! I know of what I speak since I spent the first approximately 36 years of my life with what’s termed “low vision”. However, you can read a bit more about this and other details of my life in the Biography (opens in a new tab or window).
I will also apologize for this website being predominantly text, still as of July 2024, but as I do NOT have funds to pay sighted help to create graphics, and have so far been disappointed with the watermarking which seems to tag along with AI-generated graphics, I’m remain “stuck” without graphics.
How do you pronounce A-Ware?
Anything different or new enough always goes through this stage. Some perceive correctly, while others are shaded by other once different or new. The best way to clear up any confusion is for those “in the know” who actually played some key role in the different or new educating or informing others of the “right” perception. This is what I attempt to do in an Author’s Notes titled How do you pronounce A-Ware.
Where’s the Free Preview Edition, and Where’s the Book?
The story of A-Ware is a project I officially began back on Wednesday, May 10, 2006.
A first question is likely to be, “Why is (or has) it taking (or taken) so long … seeing as how it’s 2024 (or whatever year you’re reading this)?”
If there were one specific answer to this question, it would be “the effects of market and/or reader demands”. Allow me to explain …
A first issue are market or publishing standards. Who establishes these standards and/or what criteria are used to determine or establish them are perhaps not as important as is the fact that standards exist, or are somehow determine and established. The perceived right or wrong are irrelevant. There are numerous aspects or layers to these standards, but a few are …
1. Book length in words. This varies among genres (mystery, romance, science fiction, etc.), but a generally good rule of thumb is to shoot for between 100,000 and 200,000 words for one book. On the surface, this sounds like a lot, but a good writer can crank out astonishing numbers of words without even trying hard. This aspect naturally limits the overall complexity and therefore length of the story. This also aids in determining number of chapters, as another general rule of thumb is to aim for somewhere between around 2,000 and 3,500 words per chapter. Again, limiting complexity.
2. Publishing taboos. These are mostly ethically or morally “taboo” subjects writers are expected to avoid. Naturally, a majority of them are of a sexual nature, given our society’s general discomfort with such topics. It does not matter that such topics DO occur in our real world. Writers are just expected to avoid these topics as if they are some plague, or some proverbial “monster in the closet or under the bed” we are to “just pretend are not there, and so they will go away if ignored”. The problem with that logic is that ignoring problems does NOT make them just “go away”. If there is some proverbial “lump under a rug” or “elephant in a room”, ignoring this, or just pretending very hard that whatever “is NOT so” doesn’t really change ANYTHING! The “lump” IS under the rug, or, the “elephant” IS in the room.
3. Story milestones. This is a general story outline most writers follow, though the concept is actually more complex than I am suggesting. This gets into aspects like what “person” the story is written in (first, second, third), what “voice” the story is written in (active or passive), active meaning action happening in the moment, whereas passive is occurring at some other time besides “now”, and simplifying the story down into a series of major events to create action and/or drama within the story. Certain methods are “tried and true”, and writers are expected to adhere to these “standards” of story.
When I originally conceived the story of A-Ware, it didn’t take long to realize that I had a series story on my hands. This wasn’t going to be ONE book; it was going to be DOZENS … because it wasn’t a story which could be boiled or simplified down into one book.
Well, that statement is both true and false. False in that a basic story could be told in one book, but true in that the story was never meant isolated to one specific character’s journey.
I had some initial ideas as to how much of the story I wanted to cover in a first novel. I wanted to cover enough story to make the first book entertaining enough, but also wanted to make readers want to buy the second book to continue the story, which would then make them want to buy the third book and so on. It is a business, after all. Your goal is to sell books. You can enjoy the process of conveying story, but ultimately, you want to make money off your work, same as anyone else expects of their work.
However, there are two basic categories of writers … “the outliner” and “the pantser”. “Outliners” naturally outline the story they intend to tell so they have a sort of roadmap or “trail of breadcrumbs” to follow to get from some beginning to some ending. “Pantsers”, meanwhile, may or may not have ideas as to where to start or end, but in both cases, “write by the seat of their pants” … thus, the name. I had some ideas as to where to begin my story, and where I was going with it, but otherwise just wrote, trying to let story carry me along … so I was most definitely a “pantser”. Problem? Pantsers tend to be very frowned upon among the publishing industry. Essentially, it like anything else … those who don’t follow some “majority” are generally ostracized. It is NOT that no pantser’s work ever gets published; if one possesses enough resources, they CAN and DO get published, and can be as successful (or perhaps even MORE successful) than the majority “outliner” crowd.
There is also the matter that new authors are naturally going to consult the Internet for advice on writing and publishing their book. A core problem with this is that there is a LOT of old, outdated material lying around out there on the World Wide Web. A related issue is ALL or most of those sources presenting their advice as “right” or “the way”. Bottom line, the new author’s dilemma becomes trying to sort out the “best or current advice” from the “outdated or just plain wrong junk”.
Roots
The story of A-Ware has some roots in “Cyborg”, by Martin Caidin. This was the source story for “The Six Million Dollar Man” franchise. I do not remember when I originally read the source novel, “Cyborg”, nor do I remember if I saw the first movie on its original air date, though I probably did the latter given how television worked back in 1973. After all, this was decades prior to the streaming we all know and love nowadays. Back in 1973, you watched shows when they aired, versus whenever you desired. This was years before most people possessed any means to record broadcasts for later viewing.
Due to the “extreme myopia” or “extreme nearsightedness” condition I was born with, the retina in my left eye completely detached approximately a couple years into “The Six Million Dollar Man”. Emphasis on, “in my left eye”. Character Steve Austin’s left eye was destroyed when the test craft he was piloting crashed, also destroying his left arm and both legs. So, naturally, a kid’s imagination works overtime, and I’m figuring I’ll gain my own “bionic eye” someday. Same eye, why not?
Curiosity … Caidin’s novel has Steve Austin losing his left arm, yet in the “Six Million Dollar Man” TV series, the right arm is the bionic one. I don’t know. Perhaps actor Lee Majors didn’t feel he could handle enough with his left arm, so they just changed this detail. I’ve read my share of interviews with Majors but this detail has never been brought up as far as I know.
Fast forward to closer to May 10, 2006. I’m now totally blind (no usable light perception or therefore sight) due to complications from necessary eye surgery. I’m trying to come up with a story I’ve never read anywhere else because obviously, I want to sell my story, as anyone else does. A curious idea forms, and the longer I think about it, the better the story idea seems since it presents the possibility of a lengthy series of books.
So, I begin writing. My early efforts are quite crude, as is common among new writers. You get a LOT of things wrong in the beginning. If you look to the Internet for help and read ten different articles on writing a book, you’re likely to encounter ten different approaches; at the very least, likely half as many. The point being, you’re subject to be led down more wrong paths. Everyone believes themselves an expert. Each believing their approach “the best”, whether it really is or not.
Distributed among all this “helpful advice” are publishing industry professionals offering their own “advice” … only a lot of their advice is based on standards they may or may not have had anything to do with determining or establishing. To put it another way, these professionals are most likely just “coloring within the lines” or “following some majority” in order to sell as many books as possible. A lot of these professionals may care little to none about quality of story; far more of them are more strongly focused on sales.
Consider the term, “bestseller”. Sounds great on the surface. However, just because a book “sells” doesn’t mean the buyer actually “read” the book! It just means a “sale” was made; people “bought” the book. However, we’re not talking a car or a home here; we’re talking a book. Let’s say a purchase between perhaps 5 dollars and 25 dollars. Now, some people ARE going to read that purchased book, while still others are going to become so busy with life that said “sold” book lies collecting dust on some desk, table or bookshelf. The point being that “bestseller” does NOT equate to “best-read”. Now, chances are, MOST buyers DO actually “read” that book … only we never have any statistics on that. Certainly no reliable statistics since if polled, people can simply lie and claim they read the book. We might probe further and discover this person likely did NOT read the book, but chances are this will NEVER occur. Kind of deflates the whole “bestseller” concept, doesn’t it?
But anyway, back to my story. One key difference between “Cyborg” and A-Ware was that with “Cyborg”, dozens upon dozens of persons were NEVER intended to become the super-human bionic of Steve Austin; at some point they might be aided through bionics, though “tuned down” bionics which functioned at the more “normal” level. But with A-Ware, dozens upon dozens of persons would become recipients of the project solution.
However, as A-Ware was intended as a science fiction story, and as I was somewhat operating off the super-human Steve Austin concept, some A-Ware recipients would necessarily gain super-human abilities … thereby enabling them to help others in specialized ways. One can think of any number of similar stories. Superman … Batman … basically ANY super-hero (or heroine). James Bond. MacGyver. Sherlock Holmes. Dr. Who. The Wild, Wild West. Columbo. Knight Rider. The list goes on and on, without being restricted to purely science fiction, but potentially religion or spirituality.
World Building and Character Building
So, I write. Beginning to see where this series is going, I must engage in a lot of “world building”. This is where an author realizes they’re not entirely writing within their own real universe, but within another one. In my case, I coined it “the A-Wareverse”. Similar in enough ways to our own universe to be recognizable, identifiable, yet different in enough ways to be some “elsewhere” where some fantastical events could occur.
I never did agree with the year the accessible iPhone arrived, so I shifted its introduction several years earlier so the accessible iPhone would exist according to the timeline of my story. I never did agree with the silly names Microsoft coined for its computer operating system, so I altered it for my story. Windows 4 is our Windows 95; Windows 5 is our Windows XP; Windows 6 is our Windows Vista. Only by Windows 7 do things begin to match up, but even so, I created a Windows 9 between 8 and 10, as should have occurred. Skipping from 8 to 10 makes no rational sense!
This world building can “mushroom”, however, as was my situation. Within a weekly television series, one tends to encounter a rather small number of characters. There is at least one over-riding reason for this, and that is to simplify the overall story for as many persons as possible to absorb. Even I could not keep up with a story involving dozens upon dozens of characters at the same time. Even if one can see all the characters, keeping up with all of them is a monumental task. So, what do we do? We have our James Bond, MacGyver, Columbo or whoever, interacting with a small number of other characters within a given week’s episode or story. Over following weeks, the number of characters adds up, but this occurs gradually enough to be absorbed.
However, this concept of story-telling also has its unrealistic aspect. Exposed to only some small number of characters, one naturally forgets there is a whole universe out there continuing to occur. We can just assume the rest of the world is occurring; we just aren’t being bombarded with this fact. Note I used the word “assume”; we likewise cannot just “assume” too much, though this is what nevertheless happens. Creators of whatever just “assume” consumers of story will just “assume” some larger universe is continuing to occur while their story is occurring, though chances are, the consumer rather “dumbs down” on the story; the consumer focuses on the simplistic story being told, appreciating its simplicity. This ultimately creates a “standard” which can be perceived as both “realistic” but also “unrealistic”; a simplified, “dumbed” or “watered” down universe which is easier to comprehend.
I was hoping to avoid or work around this dumbing or watering down of story; I basically did not want to “cheat” my readers by creating too overly simplified, dumbed-down, watered down story. I wanted readers feeling they were witnesses to a much larger, more diverse story. No, I wasn’t going to focus too heavily on mundane events like going to the dentist, going to get a haircut or going grocery shopping, but I still wanted readers to get some better sense of a universe, a larger world in motion, rather than simply some very specific subset.
Tapestry
Think of story as a tapestry. A tapestry presents some overall design, but does this by means of different colors of thread intermingling or being woven together. Think of those threads as various parts of story, with the final tapestry being the final, overall story. In my writing process, I was creating and weaving threads together. A problem is that this creates a far more complex story, not easily summed up into one sentence, or even one paragraph … which goes against publishing “standards”.
Only I don’t know or realize a lot. I’m busy trying to create what I feel is a more complete story which doesn’t insult my reader’s attention span or intelligence. I’m figuring most avid readers are more sophisticated than a large proportion of them apparently actually are. I’m trying really hard to offer readers something different and new. Trying to offer readers more proverbial bang for their bucks.
The actual first draft of the first novel began in simple text editor Notepad, because at the time I couldn’t afford expensive Microsoft Word. I also didn’t trust Word, for what became various unrealistic reasons. Each chapter was its own file, with the intention being to combine all these files together in order to publish.
It is as I’m approximately two-thirds or so through writing an intended third novel in the series that I quite suddenly realize I have some major problems. First, I have not quite done enough world building. Second, I have not quite compiled enough detailed notes on characters and events such that I can avoid having to read back through entire novels in order to determine when one or more earlier events occurred. Remember, I’m “pantsing” this thing. And third, and perhaps worst of all, I have ventured into one too many “taboo” topics in my efforts to create action and/or drama other than the usual, typical blow this or that up with explosives, steal this or that, shoot, stab, poison or strangle others, and so forth and so on which too often occur in too many stories. What about various sex crimes? They occur in the “real” world, so what’s with this “easing away” from them, trying to pretend they just don’t happen because “such material is uncomfortable” for many persons? Who’s “deciding”, and WHAT are they basing such decisions upon? I confess I’ve never been polled, so can safely assume most people haven’t been polled either … so where are the actual statistics? Or is it, in fact, that a lot of assumptions are merely being made? That there are NO statistics, no studies … just a lot of assumptions?
I can hear the Christians out there quoting from their Bibles on the sexual topics, but scripture alone does NOT explain how a concept so permeated and made uncomfortable a society, especially given that entire said society do NOT identify as Christian. Greater research strongly suggests the United States is virtually alone in its sexual discomfort. Not that persons do not exist in other countries of the world who find some sexual material uncomfortable, but the United States presents a generally larger majority uncomfortable with sexual topics. This is not meant as any insult to the United States; simply a statement of truth based on enough facts.
To some extent (possibly GREAT extent), such discomfort has become associated with the early Creation story after Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit and presented shame in their nakedness. I feel far too many persons leave it there, without bothering to further consider any deeper meaning. The meaning is NOT, “we are to be ashamed of our nakedness and of anything and everything associated with nakedness”. The meaning is, “God was NOT ashamed of our nakedness since the scripture itself says God saw ALL created … including naked humans … was GOOD; Adam and Eve violated God’s commandment, which then led to their shame of God’s creation”. Later scripture where God “clothes” Adam and Eve does NOT mean “God was ashamed of Adam and Eve’s nakedness”, but rather that God was trying to help them ease their shame through higher quality clothing of animal skins versus plant leaves. Scripture of ANY kind requires some reflection to discern its deeper meanings. The right or wrong of meanings is less important than are the efforts to discern. It is rather human pride which leans toward the “right” or “being right over everyone else”. Too much emphasis over “who’s right and who’s wrong”, when in fact, not a one of us knows for sure. NOT ONE of us. That some feel they do is their wrong in the matter.
But to return to this matter of taboos … it’s clear I can’t publish, or that if I do publish anyway, I’m likely to face a lot of backlash. I need to step back from this thing for not less than the several reasons I stated. I need to do more world building. I need to develop better notes overall. And I need to try to clean up the sexual content to a significant degree to make it more “acceptable or tolerable”.
This is the process I begin. It is laborious, but needs to be done. While cleaning up the sexual content, other, better scenes suggest themselves, which is good. Fleshing out some other character stories to create ultimately better characters occurs. However, this also creates further story complexity, which eventually leads to the first novel, formerly somewhere roughly around 65 chapters MUSHROOMING into 140 chapters!
Worse, chapters are anywhere between around 10-15 pages to between 30 and 45 pages long in standard margin, 12 point type font Microsoft Word, with a final tally of words among those 140 chapters of something over 1.6 million words! And this is for merely the FIRST novel! But at this point, I’m still unaware of a lot of the publishing standards. First, because ten different resources might offer as many or more of five different answers … at least some of them outdated and irrelevant. Second, because actually getting the answers costs funds to which I simply do NOT have access.
So, I do what I can do, which is to continue working on the project despite still not knowing a lot. I still feel I have a really good story. I figure if I create a free preview edition and make it available for download that people will at least download it and give it a read. I can’t very well tell potential readers too much though, or else why bother reading the story? Nevertheless, I try to come up with what I feel is a sufficient story synopsis for a first novel. I work away, trying to polish my writing because I want readers feeling they’re getting professional story.
I finally feel I have something worth publishing by late October 2022 … only to discover I need “a professionally designed cover”. Blind as I am, despite my former sighted days of graphics design, I cannot design my own book cover. I have numerous ideas, but no ability to get any of it out of my head into any final design. I will need sighted help, and I will need to pay said sighted help for their design talent. Unexpected expense. No resource told me a book cover was so necessary! After all, isn’t the old adage, “Never judge a book by its cover?”
Unfortunately, one of those old adages which is not at all true … because humans DO judge, and they DO judge rather quickly, definitively and too often harshly. Myself, while I did enjoy book covers when I could see, I never especially allowed the book cover to drive my purchasing or reading decision. The copy on the rear book cover had more to do with this than did the front cover illustration, or even any back cover illustration. One figures enough other readers feel the same, but apparently I’m entirely mistaken …or at least the current publishing industry is hell bent on convincing me that book covers play a far more critical role in reader interest.
I spend months not only trying to come up with funds to pay for a cover design, but finding someone I feel I can afford. This is not as easy as it could and should be, for a lot of advice is old and outdated, so a lot of estimates are entirely off and unrealistic as of late 2022 standards.
Another issue is book title. The first book is very much the “genesis” of the story …only “Genesis” has been over-used. For reasons I cannot explain, “Nexus” does NOT occur to me, but even if it had, it has also been over-used (just perhaps not quite as much as “Genesis”). But, in any case, I ultimately decide upon “Derivation” … as in “the deriving” of story through various actions and events of the story. Also, I have the story concluding on something of an exciting cliffhanger which hopefully assures readers will want to purchase the second book in order to find out what happens. Very much borrowing from the old Saturday morning theater serials of old.
Derivation, the Original First Novel
It takes until late January 2023 before I’ve managed to create a first version of this author website, obtain a cover image, format the manuscript for e-publishing and ironing out other assorted little details. I publish, push out some social networking posts, then wait for things to happen. Proof “Derivation” was published exists in the form of a listing on GoodReads, and former listings on some sources like Barnes & Noble, Cobo and others.
Weeks go by, then months … of absolutely NOTHING happening! Okay, so potential readers don’t know where to look; I get that. I do more social networking. I’ve used an aggregator for publishing, so the first book is available from dozens of sources, most also offering a smaller free preview. My own free preview edition is 70 chapters, or half the first book … only the download count remains depressingly at zero.
I periodically check my publishing dashboard, which remains stuck at zero sales. I realize the problem is that while this aggregator has certainly helped me publish, they offer NOTHING to help PROMOTE! I begin looking into promotion … only everyone’s got their hand out, wanting funds I simply do NOT have! What so-called “free” promotion is available very much agrees with the old adage, “you get what you pay for”; i.e., you’re paying nothing, so you’re pretty much getting nothing. One could “get lucky” with free promotion, but this cannot and should not be counted upon. No … this author thing, this writing thing … IS, most likely, GOING to cost you funds you likely don’t have. It simply IS. Accept that SOONER versus LATER. If you’re going to assume something, assume your hoped for author career IS going to cost you funds you likely DON’T have.
There is NO “magic pill” solution for this dilemma. What works for one author is NOT necessarily going to work for EVERY author. There is the same challenge, but there is NOT the same “fix” or “solution”. You’re going to have to figure out what works for you, for your unique situation. What has worked for others might or might not work for you, but is in NO way some poor reflection on you … and do NOT allow ANYONE to make you feel otherwise … because some people will try to do that to you.
The solution is NOT simple. You WILL need to locate sources of funds. These could range from locating, applying for and hopefully acquiring grants (YES!), to borrowing funds from family members (NO!), to applying for an acquiring a loan (YES!), working some extra job (YES!), and/or selling things you no longer need (YES!). The point being that you must SOMEHOW find sources of funds because you MUST pursue this funded path in order to likely get published and noticed so sales can begin flowing.
Think of it as an airplane sitting on a runway. You know if you can just get that plane rolling along fast enough that it can eventually lift off and fly. However, you must first get that plane rolling along. Problem, that’s going to take some fuel or power to get that plane rolling in the first place. It’s then going to take increasing amounts of fuel or force to get that plane rolling along fast enough to eventually lift off. Only once that plane is actually flying will sales potentially begin flowing. Or, to put it another way, only once that plane is “going somewhere” can sales begin occurring.
Does all this mean you couldn’t simply “get lucky”? Not at all. Does it mean enough social networking wouldn’t “pull you through”? Again, not at all. Does it mean you couldn’t potentially design your own book cover and be a success? Nope! As Mr. Spock of “Star Trek” was fond of saying … “There are always possibilities.”
Yes, there are ALWAYS “possibilities”. However, that goes both ways. You’re gambling, to put it another way. Do you want to potentially spend 18 years basically getting nowhere, or would you rather potentially get somewhere within 6 years or less? There is NO guarantee either way, but again, think of that plane on the runway metaphor. If you don’t put enough fuel or force into that plane, it obviously is NOT going to go ANYWHERE! If you don’t put QUALITY fuel or force into that plane, then it’s NOT going to go as far or as fast as it potentially could! If you try to PUSH that plane down the runway, you’re eventually going to run out of energy or resources. What you want, what you NEED to do is put QUALITY resources into getting that plane going down that runway. Only with QUALITY resources can you rationally, realistically, reasonably get that plane going fast and far enough to eventually lift off into actual SALES … and until you have sales flowing, you DON’T have further funds to help keep flights going, which produces further sales.
As if all this isn’t depressing enough, you’re likely going to have to alter some other aspects of the vision which is your story. Your reader base is what it is. It most likely has the attention span the size of a gnat, so you’re going to have to simplify your story. Your story can NOT be as richly detailed as your vision desires. Should some readers then leave reviews complaining about this aspect of your story, you can respond with readers NOT giving your richer, lengthier story any “chance”. Yes, there is the matter of them “not being aware” of your original story … but there is also the matter of reader attention span. Far too many people want EVERYTHING about life broken down into bite-sized chunks they can quickly digest so they can just move along to something else. However, this is the reader’s failing, not that of the writer.
It was difficult for me to track visitors to my website. It just was. All this “stuff” has been designed for sighted persons, so requires some often Herculean efforts to make like use of as a blind person. My overall problem likely was “lack of awareness”, but the fact is, I don’t know; nor, likely, does anyone else know with any certainty I will ever trust. It was what it was, so it is what it is.
Tearing Down
As of March 21, 2024, I made the very difficult decision to pull the free preview download AND to delist (un-publish) the original “Derivation” novel. This is why a lot of former material seems to be “missing” from this website.
I am currently in the process of working with a self-publishing coach in an effort to produce a series which will actually SELL. From one perspective, I am NOT at ALL happy because the result I am working toward does NOT agree with my original vision for the story. I do NOT like being essentially FORCED to simplify (e.g., dumb or water down) my original vision in order to acquire sales; however, “the market” is what drives this “machine”. I cannot get ANYWHERE useful working AGAINST this “machine”.
Perhaps, at some future date, I will possess the resources to achieve my original vision for this series. Or, perhaps, by that time, there will no longer be any point. Perhaps the revised story will suffice; perhaps it will HAVE to. I cannot know; I do NOT know; nor does anyone else. However, I will have tried “both ways”. If this “other way” does NOT help, I can always try my original way again. I will NOT worry over details like readers having purchased eight books which consume one originally more complete “Derivation” novel; I will sort all that out with readers at that time. I never intended on selling the first novel for more than basically 7 dollars or 10 dollars versus the 1,000 dollars or more it’s likely actually worth given the literally decades of work I put into it. I would still sell the original “Derivation” novel for somewhere between 5 and 10 dollars. As of this writing, I do not know what the selling price of any revised novels will be, as I am not that far along in the process.
As to whether or not I will pull off this currently impossible I do not know. I hope I do, but it remains to be seen, and meanwhile, there is the danger of someone else publishing a similar enough story which entirely invalidates mine. It won’t matter to anyone that I began this project back in May 2006; there is no conceivable way to prove this because file date and time stamps can be altered without there being any history of the alterations. It is my word against everyone else’s, with mine not mattering without irrefutable proof I cannot provide. It remains that I know what I did when, and if there is a God, that said God knows what I did when … but this is all I have.
I cannot begin to guess how long this process will take, but this space will change when things are ready. As to whether or not I will offer any free preview on this website once this “repackaging” process is complete, I cannot say. Creating the free preview edition is a lot of extra work for me as a blind author, particularly since most distributors offer their own free sample. I am otherwise doing a lot of work for little or no return, which is time better spent on writing or other tasks.
Some Final Notes
Rather than publishing Author’s Notes (opens in same tab or window) across separate books, I decided to offer such information on this website. A WARNING that some of those notes contain SPOILERS, which I try to mention at the beginning, but just in case I missed doing so, you have been warned. Anyway, these notes will answer a few questions and possibly raise some, which I’ll try to address as time permits. Don’t forget to check out the other links in the menu. If something isn’t working quite right yet, it’s either because I haven’t had time to get “a round tuit” or haven’t found a solution I like yet; I’m also solely responsible for this entire website, which takes away from my writing time with its technical challenges from my blind perspective.

I do ask that everyone please take a look around the site. I again apologize for the lack of graphics, but will resolve that situation as I am able. It remains that readers purchasing books (once available, of course) and sharing through social networking and word of mouth will help the situation, whereas simply ignoring my efforts gets us nowhere.
